Beginnings

When Norma was a teenager she used to give her mother a charm for her birthday every year. One year, Norma could not find something that she liked so she designed it. With the help of her family’s repair person, her design was brought to life. Putting together several parts, the charm was created. Her mother loved the charm Norma designed!

The repair person later went on to become a manufacturer who put her charm in his catalog. That charm ended up becoming a big hit among customers! Although Norma did not get any compensation for her design, she did get the confidence to be a jewelry designer and begin her jewelry designing career.

Fine Jewelry Designer

Norma Wellington Designs specializes in custom designs, re-designs, and wedding items. Her collections have appeared at Saks Fifth Avenue for thirteen years of consecutive collections with her name on it. One of Norma’s pieces can be found in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institute. She is also been featured by Jewelers of America in their trend reports, gift guides and much more.

Giving Back

In addition to giving seminars, teaching jewelry fabrication, and designing for major manufacturing companies and clients, it has been important for Norma to give back. One way she has done so is by hosting her one-woman charity shows for many years. Her shows have raised funds for numerous causes ranging from providing scholarships to children to helping provide critical PPE supplies for healthcare workers.
